Power Plant Management Services, LLC (www.ppmsllc.com) provides general management services to financial owners of independent power generating facilities. The company manages cash flows, ensures the quality of plant operations and oversees regulatory compliance with office locations in Texas, North Carolina, Connecticut, Massachusetts and California.

This position is responsible for planning and directing engineering support of existing equipment and recommendations and guidance on activities including heat rate performance, preventative and predictive maintenance, capital project evaluation and environmental/safety initiated project work for power plants in an accurate and timely manner. Assignments require the investigation and analysis of complex engineering and/or design issues involving troubleshooting and outage management requiring skills in project management, administration, and related support services with a focus on sharing best practices, reliability, safety, and compliance in order to minimize the cost of power generation and maximize profitability while maintaining the long-term viability of the Owner’s generation assets.

Educational Requirements:
– Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
– Professional Engineering (P.E.) certification is strongly desired.
– Master degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is desired.

Basic Qualifications:
– Minimum of ten (10) years experience working in power plant engineering and construction.
– Minimum of five (5) years experience managing and directing the work of engineers.
– Experience as a project manager with responsibilities for overseeing power plant engineering, outages, troubleshooting, procurement and executing operational plans to promote performance, reliability, safety, and compliance.
– Experience identifying and implementing quality control procedures and standards for technical modifications and systems that consistently improve power plant performance and standards for efficiency and quality.

Working Conditions:
Frequent travel, at least 40% of the time and possibly more.
Working in a plant environment.
